Sub. S0ME THINGS WE ALL HAVE IN COMM0N
Text: Job 14:1-5
Introduction•:

A. Many ways in which the human race is uncommon:
1. We don't all like the same things.
2. We don't all agree on everything.
3. We are not all the same kind of people: nationally, religiously, politically or socially.

Illustration:
A young couple were about to get married. The boy was as poor as one can be, but the girl was rich. The girl’s father asked the boy what he planned to do about his poverty situation? He replied, “I have been thinking about it, and what we can do is put her money and my money together, and that way we'll be equal.”
B. There are a few things we are all alike in, we have some things in common.

I. WE HAVE ALL SINNED (Rom.3:23; 1 Jn.1:8)
A. There are some who have not gone to the depths of sin, yet they have sin.
B. We are sinners:
1. By nature (Psa. 51:5; 58:3)
2. By choice_(Psa.5Ji2-3; Isa.53:6)
3. By practice (Eccl.7:20)
C. What is sin? Taken from Moody Monthly.
Man calls it an accident; God calls it abomination.
Man calls it a blunder; God calls it a blindness.
Man calls it a chance; God calls it a choice.
Man calls it an infirmity; God calls it iniquity.
Man calls it a luxury; God calls it a leprosy.
Man calls it liberty; God calls it lawlessness.
Man calls it a trifle; God calls it a tragedy.
Man calls it a mistake; God calls it a madness.

II. WE ALL HAVE TROUBLES ..

A. That's a fact we can't get away from. Man has been thousands of years trying .to make this world a heaven on earth. We want to.be pain free, debt free, worry free, old age free but we can't reach
that goal.
B. We are under a curse (Gen. 3:16-19)
C. All creation and all creatures have troubles
(Rom.8:22-23)

III. WE ALL HAVE TO DIE

A. The only thing that will save us from death is the second coming of Jesus. If He does not come we have.an appointment with death that we must keep.
B. The Bible obituary is Genesis chapter 5; there you
will find the names of people who lived for hundreds of years, but you'll find that regardless of how long they lived it says, “And he died.”

IV. WE ALL HAVE TO SPEND ETERNITY SOMEWHERE .
A. Death is not the end: it is the end here but it is
only the beginning of eternity (Eccl. U:7)
B. Two men died; one went to paradise the other to hell (Lk.16:19-23)

V. WE ALL BA VE THE OPPORTUNITY TO BE SAVED AND GO TO HEAVEN WHEN WE DIE
A. The gospel invitation is to all (lsa.55:1; Matt 11:
28; Jn. 3:16; 5:24; Rom.10:9-10)

VI. WE MUST ALL BE SAVED THE SAME WAY
A. God has never bad but one plan of salvation and that is faith in His Son Jesus (Acts 4:12; Jn.14:6)
