Biblical Studies Major
Biblical Studies Major: Program Overview
The Bachelor of Theology (Th.B.) in Biblical Studies is a 120-credit undergraduate degree that builds upon the 75-credit Graduate of Theology (Th.G.) core with 45 additional credits in advanced biblical studies, theology, and ministry practice. Designed from a conservative Baptist perspective, the program equips students with a deeper understanding of the Scriptures, sound interpretive methods, and practical ministry skills for service in the local church and global mission.
The final 45 credits focus on advanced exegesis, biblical theology, original language tools, hermeneutics, and in-depth study of specific books and genres of the Bible. Students will also complete a capstone research project demonstrating their ability to integrate biblical knowledge with ministry application.
This program is ideal for students called to preach, teach, or pursue graduate theological education and serves as strong preparation for seminary, pastoral ministry, or missions.
