Preaching & Evangelism Major: Program Overview
The Bachelor of Theology in Preaching & Evangelism is a 120-credit undergraduate degree that builds upon the foundational 75-credit Graduate of Theology (Th.G.) with an additional 45 credit hours of advanced coursework focused on expository preaching, evangelistic strategy, and biblical leadership. Designed from a Baptist perspective, this program is ideal for students called to pastoral ministry, evangelism, church planting, or itinerant preaching.
The final 45 credit hours emphasize preaching the whole counsel of God with clarity and power, engaging diverse audiences with the gospel, and training others for evangelistic ministry. Students will refine their homiletical skills through advanced preaching practicums, study of biblical texts, and contextualized ministry experiences. A senior capstone project allows students to synthesize their learning in a major research or ministry presentation.
This program prepares graduates to proclaim the Word of God faithfully and to lead gospel-centered movements in their communities and beyond.
